Marketing Acquisition + Retention Manager

 

The Marketing Acquisition & Retention Manager role demands someone who connects with our mission, cares about women’s health, and is driven by a desire to do work with a purpose. You will be joining a rapidly expanding startup at the ground-level and working with a kickass team that has built multiple companies, while having a high degree of responsibility and autonomy.

As the Marketing Acquisition & Retention Manager, you will launch, monitor and optimize campaigns across a number of marketing channels. Some campaigns will be run directly through this female-founded mission-driven org, while others will be run in partnership with third party vendors and like-minded brands. We are seeking an experienced yet scrappy marketer who understands how to use organic marketing channels to acquire new customers and retain existing customers.

What you’ll do

• Develop strategy for and execute all organic acquisition campaigns in order to drive site traffic, increase brand awareness, and ultimately, drive customer acquisition and retention

• Manage and scale all non-paid channels including, but not limited to, social, search, email, influencer, referral, partnerships, events, and product sampling

• Use learnings to continually improve the customer experience throughout various stages of their lifecycle (acquisition, retention, win-back, etc.) and overall ROI

• Create monthly projections for all channels, including expected traffic and conversions. Regularly exceed expectations.

• Measure and report performance of all organic marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). Create and maintain dashboard to share metrics with team.

• Manage and work closely with a portfolio of SKUs, understanding how to best upsell and cross sell

• Work closely with Head of Acquisition and Paid Acquisition Manager to formulate overall growth & marketing acquisition strategy

• Continually brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

• Collaborate with agencies and third-party vendors, including self-serve channels, as necessary

• Collaborate with brand team to maintain brand identity through all marketing channels

• Research marketing platforms, make recommendations, and project manage integrations with our development team as needed

About you

• Jack/Jill of all trades when it comes to marketing who regularly beats forecasts

• Hustler with experience running campaigns in all aforementioned channels

• Experience managing email and using this channel to fuel growth and increase retention

• Experience creating strategy and managing execution in order to expand social reach, following, and engagement

• Experience optimizing e-commerce sites for search

• Experience running influencer and partnership campaigns with the goal of brand awareness and conversion

• Analytical thinker who can develop end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

• Ability to research new channel opportunities, provide thought leadership, and evaluate for adoption where appropriate

• Ability to effectively communicate with engineering, operations, and marketing teams

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members and work independently as needed

• Eagerness to own your part of the business and think strategically, with a willingness to get your hands dirty with execution when needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in marketing acquisition

• Strong analytical skills with understanding of customer acquisition & retention metrics

• Advanced Excel skills

• Consumer goods experience is a plus

• Take-charge attitude, ambitious, creative, and a team player

• BS/MS degree
